It is managed user defined process which is a program of single process(e.g. notepad.exe, cal.exe).
Name of an executable binary and process resides memory should be identical. Executable Process should be resided in all the nodes with the same path, and does not need to be resided in the same path as the mirror disk or shared disk.
Process basically is executed with the system account, but is can be executed with particular user by using attributes of User, Password, Domain.

Adding

There are two way to add a resource which one is select this from a group name and another is select this from a resource type.

Add the basic application resource to a group.

  1. When add a resource from a group name, select a group -> → right click -> → 'Add Resource'. Or select Edit(E) from the main menu bar -> → select 'Add Resource'. Or select 'Add Resource' icon from the tool bar.

  2. Select 'Process' from Resource Type lists and click 'Next' button. When add a resource from the Process resource type name, this step will be skipped.

  3. Next steps are same as adding in resource type.

  2. ResourceType - Right Click - Click Add Resource

    Enter process name and full path.

    Enter resource name.
    If you skip enter this, name will be given same value with process name when process path is defined.

    Another way Click file selection icon and you can choose the file as shown below.

    Default value of user executing process resource is the user that execute process. 
    If you wish to use other user account, you can define in 'Execution Account' as shown below.

    Enter the resource name and then the process name.
    You can add a process to the dialogue by pressing the Image Added 'File' button on the right.

    The default user for running the basic app is the user that runs the MCCS process.
    If the process needs to run for another user other than the default user, then you must designate an execution account as follows.

  3. As an additional setting, you can select desktop option and forced to terminate option.

  4. Click the 'Finish' button to add the basic application resource.
    You can immediately check the result in the management web console.


Deleting

Select resource type - → right click - → delete resource

             Select delete resource and resource will be deleted.

Status

The following table explains the status switching of the MCCS resource caused by a user's command and the status.
The command assumes that it is generated by a user.

Process agent: Manages the general processes.

Online

The registered process is running.

Offline

Terminate an ongoing process by sending the termination signal (TerminateProcess) to it.

 
Monitoring

It periodically monitors whether the process runs in the memory.
It does not check the internal operation status of the process or whether a normal response is received.
For the monitoring purpose, the operational status is checked by using the process name that includes the absolute path and the process ID (PID).

 

Offline

The registered process is terminated.

Online

In the attributes of process, run the program designated in the Path.
Path attribute is the absolute path for a program existing on the system.

For instance, if you configure the program that uses the 'notepad.exe readme.txt' command as a process agent, you can express it as follows.
"Path": "c: \windows\system32\notepad.exe" "Arguments": "readme.txt"

메모리에서 프로세스가 실행 중인지 주기적으로 감시합니다.
프로세스의 내부적인 동작 상태나 정상적인 응답 여부는 확인하지 않습니다.
모니터 방법은 해당 프로세스의 ID (PID) 와 절대경로를 포함한 프로세스 이름으로 동작 상태를 확인합니다.

 

장애

온라인 상태인 프로세스가 에이전트의 종료 명령을 거치지 않고
오프라인 상태로 변경되었을 경우에 장애 상태로 정의합니다.

온라인Monitoring

It is the program argument. 
More than one factor must use at least one space as an identifier. When spaces are included in the factor, double quotation marks(" ") must be used.
