  1. To add a group, select 'group name → right click → "Add Group" from configuration tree.
    Or select "Edit(E)" → "Add Group" from main menu.

  2. If you select "Add Group", you will see the initial group wizard.

    In the wizard, enter a group name and select the nodes from "Available Nodes" list and move to "Target target" Nodes list by clicking allow.

    If you select only one node from "Available nodes" list, then single node group will be created.
    If you add this, a group is not able to perform failover in case of failure.

    (If you have selected a single node cluster in the installation step, only one node will be displayed in the "Available nodes" list.)

  3. Click the "Additional Settings" button to choose group type as failover or parallel. This option will be disabled for single node group.

    Failover group failover from active to standby node when failure occurs. 
    Parallel group is configured with the resources that can be executed on more than 2 nodes at the same time.
    Parallel group does not support failover, but restart the service when it is failed in local node.

     

  4. Designate a group policy and configure an application.
    For more on how to add each resource, refer to the below link.

    If there is something wrong with the added resource, you can press the "X" mark to delete it.
    You can change the online/offline order of added resources by pressing the arrow icon.

  5. Configure the network related resource.
    For more on how to add each resource, refer to the below link. 
    Refer to the descriptions of adding a NIC in “7.2 1 Network Interface Card".
    Refer to the descriptions of adding a IP in "7.3 2 IP Address".

    Warning

    Before add an IP resource, you must add a NIC resource in advance.

  6. Configure the disk related resource.

  7. Once you have added all the resources using adding group wizard, it will suggest a dependency among resources by MCCS automatically.
    If you want to edit the dependency, select the "Palette" in the right tab and change it.

  8. After configure the dependency, check the summary of the group and resources information and press the "Finish" button to add a group.
