File Sync Replications (FSR) is a file-level, host-based replication solution for redundant, real-time backup of your organization's critical data over a network.

It can easily specify replication targets at the file and directory level and build a flexible replication environment through various configurations (1:1, 1:N, N:1, local mirror). It enables real-time migration without service interruption during the replication process and implements various functions required for redundancy and DR, including replication and periodic synchronization, online consistency verification, split-brain detection, deleted data backup, and snapshots.

FSR operates with active-standby, one-way mirroring based on fail-over clustering and does not support circular mirroring, dual-primary, etc.

Working Describes the procedures and methods for operating an actual FSR. Introduces the basic procedures for operating a resource (starting a resource, stopping a resource, synchronizing, setting bands, starting replication, swapping, and reconfiguring) and the functions depending on the configuration (file lock, status inquiry, performance inquiry, performance monitor, disk monitor, events, verify) with examples.

Troubleshooting Describes the kinds of failures you'll encounter in your operations and the procedures for dealing with them. Explains split-brain, failure response, disk checks, and file locking.

Optimizations Describes how to optimize replication performance. Describes it from a throughput and latency perspective.

Internals Behavior Describes in detail the internal behavior of the FSR replication engine. We recommend reading this chapter for a more in-depth understanding of FSR.

Appendices Describes recent changes, CLI commands, properties, and more, and is updated with each FSR version revision.
