  1. To add a group, select 'group name → right click → Add Group' from configuration tree.
    Or select 'Edit(E) → Add Group' from main menu.

  2. Add Group wizard is launched as shown below.

  3. Enter group name, select the nodes from Available nodes list and click  the '▶' button to moves these in Target Nodes lists.

  4. When select just a node from Available nodes list, you can create single node group.

    Unlike failover group, Single node group does not support failover when failure occurs. 

     

  5. If you have selected single node cluster in installation step, only one node appears in Available Nodes list.

  6. Click Additional Settings to choose group mode as failover or parallel.

    Failover group failover from active to standby node when failure occurs. 
    Parallel group is configured with the resources that can be executed on more than 2 nodes at the same time. Parallel group does not support failover, but restart the service when it is failed in local node.

     

  7. After completed Basic Settings, you can add resources to be monitored by wizard based.

  8. If the added resource is incorrect, it can be deleted through clicking X.
    To define the start or stop order among resources, use the arrow to change the order.

  9. After completed 'Configure Applications', you can add NIC and IP address resource.
    If you would like to skip this step, check on 'Skip network configuration' and click 'Next' button.

  10. To add NIC resource, select a NIC from drop down box of 'Select Network Adapter' and enter resource name. 
    Default value is same as name of NIC and you can edit as your definition.

  11. To add IP resource, enter IP address which is represent for both nodes which is called Virtual IP address and enter resource name. 
    Default value is same as virtual IP address and you can edit as your definition.

    Warning

    NIC resource must be defined before add an IP resource.

  12. For more detail setting, click 'Additional Settings' and click 'OK'  to complete 'Configure Network'.

  13. After completed 'Configure Network', you can add disk resource.

  14. Mirror disk resource is added as below.

  15. After needed resource are all configured, MCCS will show suggested dependency map.

  16. If you want to change the dependency, click Selection in the Dependency tool in the right tab.

  17. Select the dependency line to be deleted, right click and select 'Unlink' to delete dependency between the resources.

  18. Click "OK" button and dependency will is deleted.

  19. After deleting dependency, dependency line is disconnected.

  20. To define dependency between the resources, select '↓Create Dependency' from 'Palette'.

  21. Click parent resource first and then click child resource.

  22. This is message to check to create dependency.

  23. Dependency map is completed shown as below.

  24. After creating dependency, detailed information of group configuration can be shown as below.
