5-2 Add and Delete Group
Resource group refers to the group of resource that failover when a failure occurs.
MCCS is executes failover between nodes in group unit.
Therefore, resource should be created in groups to be failover.
Also, more than one group can be created in one cluster.

When click ESC key while creating group, group creation process is cancelled.
Therefore, please note not to press ESC key when proceed with group creation wizard.
Adding Resource Group
To add a group, select 'group name → right click → Add Group' from configuration tree.
Or select 'Edit(E) → Add Group' from main menu.
[Figure] Adding a GroupIf you select to register a group, you will see the initial group registration screen.
In the initial group registration screen, enter a group name and move the operation target node from the left window to the right window.
[Figure] Operation Target Node SelectionPress the 'Additional Setting' button to decide whether to set the group policy to failover or parallel operation.
If you have added more than one node to the operation target node, additional setting will be activated.

Once you have configured all the resources, it will suggest a dependency recommended by MCCS.
If you want to change the dependency, select the Dependency tool in the right tab and change it.

Deleting
To delete a group, first make sure that there are existing online resources in a group.
If there is an existing resource online, terminate or delete it.
To delete group, select Select Group - Right Click - Delete Group.
If one or more than one of the resources is online state, a message shown below will appear.When this happens, offline the group first before deleting it.
