Resource group refers to the group of resource that failover when a failure occurs. 
MCCS is executes failover between nodes in group unit.
Therefore, resource should be created in groups to be failover.
Also, more than one group can be created in one cluster.

When click ESC key while creating group, group creation process is cancelled.
Therefore, please note not to press ESC key when proceed with group creation wizard.

Adding Resource Group

  1. To add a group, select 'group name → right click → Add Group' from configuration tree.
    Or select 'Edit(E) → Add Group' from main menu.

  2. 그룹 등록을 선택하면 초기 그룹 등록 화면이 나타납니다. 

    그룹 등록 초기 화면에서 그룹의 이름을 입력하고 운영 대상 노드를 왼쪽 창에서 오른쪽 창으로 이동 합니다.

     

    운영 대상 노드를 한 노드만 선택하면 싱글노드 그룹을 생성할 수 있습니다.
    선택시 그룹은 장애시 페일오버 할 수 없습니다.

    (설치 프로그램에서 싱글노드클러스터를 선택했다면 가용 노드에는 한 노드만 표시됩니다.)

    Unlike failover group, Single node group does not support failover when failure occurs. 

     

  3. 추가 설정 버튼을 눌러서 그룹의 정책을 페일오버로 지정할 것인지 병렬운영으로 지정할 것인지 결정합니다.
    두노드 이상을  "운영대상노드"에 추가 했을때 "추가설정" 이 활성화 됩니다.

    Failover group failover from active to standby node when failure occurs. 
    Parallel group is configured with the resources that can be executed on more than 2 nodes at the same time. Parallel group does not support failover, but restart the service when it is failed in local node.

     

  4. 그룹의 정책을 지정하고 애플리케이션을 구성합니다.
    각 리소스 추가 방법은 아래 링크를 참조 하십시오. 
    "7.4 복합 응용 리소스" 에서 복합응용 추가 참조. 
    "7.3 기본 응용 리소스"에서 기본응용 추가 참조. 
    "7.7 서비스 리소스"에서 서비스 리소스 추가 참조.

    추가된 리소스가 잘못되었을 경우 X 표시를 눌러 삭제할 수 있습니다.
    추가된 리소스의 시작 및 종료 순서는 화살표 아이콘을 이용하여 변경할 수 있습니다.

  5.  

    네트워크 관련 리소스를 구성합니다.
    각 리소스 추가 방법은 아래 링크를 참조 하십시오. 
    "7.1 네트워크 카드 리소스"에서 네트워크 카드 추가 참조.
    "7.2 네트워크 주소 리소스"에서 네트워크 주소 추가 참조.

     

    IP 리소스 사용 시 반드시 네트워크 어댑터 리소스가 정의 되어야 합니다.

  6. 디스크 관련 리소스를 구성합니다.
    각 리소스 추가 방법은 아래 링크를 참조 하십시오. 
    "7.5 공유 디스크 리소스"에서 공유 디스크 리소스 추가 참조. 
    "7.9 스카시예약 리소스"에서 스카시예약 리소스 추가 참조. 
    "7.6 미러 디스크 리소스"에서 미러 디스크 리소스 추가 참조.

  7. 리소스를 모두 구성하면 MCCS 에서 권장하는 의존성을 제시해 줍니다.
    의존성을 변경하고 싶다면 오른쪽 탭의 의존성 도구의 클릭후 의존성을 변경 합니다.

  8. After creating dependency, detailed information of group configuration can be shown as below.

Deleting

그룹을 삭제하기 위해서는 먼저 삭제하려는 그룹에 온라인 상태의 리소스들이 있는지 확인하시기 바랍니다. 
만일 온라인 상태의 리소스가 있다면 해당 리소스를 종료하거나 또는 삭제해야 합니다.

  1. To delete group, select Select Group - Right Click - Delete Group. 
    If one or more than one of the resources is online state, a message shown below will appear.

  2. When this happens, offline the group first before deleting it.

  3. If the mirror disk is included in the group, a message asking if replication program of mirror disk will be deleted as well. 

    if you click "OK" button, replication program is deleted as well. Press "Cancel" button if you do not wish to delete replication program.
