4. MCCS Installation

Installation

Insert Installation Media

To install MCCS, Please insert MCCS CD Media disk into the CD-ROM.
Open CD-ROM drive and execute installer.
MCCS Installation file is different by OS version.

 You must have administrative privileges to intall the MCCS. The installation will be terminated due to lack of required permissions with non-administrative user.


For 32 bit

  • MCCS_windows_4.exe

For 64 bit

  • MCCS_windows_x64_4.exe

Language Selection

When execute installer a dialog box of 'Choose Setup Language' appears as below.
Selected language will be used as the primary language of MCCS.

Start Installation

 

This is the initial setup window of MCCS installation wizard.
Click the [Next] button to proceed to the next step.

License Agreement View

It shows license agreement of the product. 
You must accept the agree to proceed installation.

Folder Selection

Select a folder to install MCCS.
Click the [Browse] button to select other installation folder.

If MCCS was installed and/or deleted before in the past, a warning message will be prompt as shown below asking if you would like to install MCCS in the same folder.
It is recommended to install in the same folder.

Start Menu Group Selection

Select start menu group of MCCS.
To configure start menu for user only, do not check on 'Create Short Cut to all users'.

Firewall Setting

Firewall setting is done automatically.


SingleNodeCluster Setup

SingleNodeCluster Setup can be selected. 

A single node cluster is a cluster made of a single node.
Do not check the setting page when you configure MCCS by using a two node cluster.


SingleNodeCluster Setup does not require any other settings to run MCCS in a node.

Software component selection

When install MCCS, you can choose to install HA componentor Data replication option. 

Mirror disk feature isn't included in HA component.
You must install Data replication option to support mirror disk.

Installation of SCSI filter driver

SCSI filter driver can be installed optionally.

Web console access port setting

Set the web console access port (UIPort).  The configured web console is used to access the MCCS web console by using a web browser.
Default port is 10080.

Start Installation

Finish Installation and Enter License key

You will see a view to enter license key when installation is finished. 
Enter the license key.

License Expire : Temporary license of MCCS is 90 days.
It is required to issue new temporary or permanent license before temporary license expires. 
If there is no license file or license expires after 15 days, MCCS works restrict mode. So faults are occured MCCS does not failover.

If the license is incorrect, warning message appears as shown below.

Expiration date will be shown if the temporary licenses are valid.

No information is shown if the license is not entered.

You will see a message that system needs to be rebooted when install Data replication option.

When it finishes rebooting, MCCS installation will be finished.



Check Installation

When the installation is finished successfully, in the background, a shortcut icon to the MCCS web console will be created and there will be the 'MCCS' folder in 'Program' of the 'Start' menu.

Subfolders Basically Installed in the MCCS Folder

  • bin
    Programs that start/run MCCS.
  • config
    Program configuration files created during installation and operation.
  • jre
    Files related to 'Java runtime environment'.
  • logs 
    MCCS log files are saved in this folder.
