If the DRX is already installed on the operating machine, you only need to install additional DRX packages. In case of separate configuration with DRX dedicated server, DRB package and drbd-utils utility for DRBD interworking should be installed additionally. If HW compression is configured, installation of Intel QAT library is required.

3.1. Install on Linux

The installation supports shell script installation and GUI based installation and can be installed manually. The default installation location is the "/opt/DRX" path and the DRX license file must be located in that path. For information about licensing, please refer to 3.4. license.

3.1.1. Install linux DRX service by shell script

The following is the process of installing with Shell Script.

3.1.2. Install the linux DRX Service by GUI

Run DRX installation file to perform GUI-based installation. After installation, open a new command window and proceed with the DRX installation process.

                                                                                             



3.1.3. Linux DRX service auto-start setting

The DRX service is set up as a daemon service and automatically restarts the DRX service when you restart the system, but sometimes you need to configure the service not to start automatically. Automatic startup for services can be configured via systemctl or chkconfig.


3.2. Install on Windows


3.2.1. Install the Windows DRX Service

When installed using the installer, the DRX service is registered with the Windows service to start automatically at system startup.

3.2.2. Manually installing the Windows DRX service

You can build your DRX service directly using the umount command.

  • drxsvc /i: install DRX service

  • drxsvc /u: remove DRX service


3.3. Uninstall

Delete it with the uninstall command provided in the installation path. Even if you delete DRX, your previous logs, configuration files, and license files are retained for management.


3.4. License

A license file is required to operate DRX.

  • file name: "drx.lic"
  • You must copy the license file to the path where you installed DRX.
