5. Initial MCCS Configuration

Initial configuration to access the web console
Initial web console access screen
In the background, click on the MCCS link or open the web browser and access http://127.0.0.1:<UIPort>/main.

[Figure] MCCS Web Console Access ViewYou can change this port number in the Heartbeat Setting menu and please, refer to "Chapter 12. Modify Heartbeat Configuration of MCCS Manual" about this.
- ID : Account name to connect MCCS console. Default account is "admin".
- Password : Default value is "password".
Administrator : This account can all of control of the MCCS for group and resource like add, delete, switch, edit, setting dependency and etc.
Monitor : This account can only view the state of group and resources.You can change this in the Cluster Attributes View from Cluster Attributes tab and please, refer to "Chapter 2. Management Web Console of MCCS Manual" about this.
- Press the [Login] button to start the initial heartbeat setting.
Heartbeat Configuration
- Enter cluster name as your definition and click on "Server Connection" to bring information of host identities.
Next step is unable to proceed if the network is not connected.
If there was an existing heartbeat configuration, its information will be remained.
[Figure] Initial Heartbeat Settings - Enter hostname or IP address of the node. Or enter 127.0.0.1 when you connect to local node.
MCCS will brings and shows hostname and network informations for the node.
[Figure] Server Connection - Edit node name as your definition and select IP address for heartbeat and mirror network.
Click the "Test" button to verify connectivity between two nodes.
Default node name is host name of the node. Node name for clustering doest not must be identical to it's host name.
MCCS requires at least a heartbeat interconnection, 3 interconnections is recommended.
[Figure] Verifying connectivities between nodesMirror network for data replication can be shared with one of primary heartbeat. Each pair of IP address of this between nodes must be on the same subnet.
If these subnet are not matched between nodes, the "Test" button for verification will not be enabled.
When you use mirror disk resource, you can configure three heartbeats.
It is highly recommended to configure the heartbeats at least three when you use mirror disk resource. - Click the "Yes" button, when you confirm for heartbeat configuration.

Web Console Connection
When you first connect the MCCS console after configure heartbeat, you may need to update or enter an valid license key if you doesn't enter this during installation.
- Access the MCCS web console. Enter the user account and password. Default account is "admin" and password is "password". Click on Access to access the console.
- Select Windows(W) -> Preferences.
Click the "License Update" button for each node in the "License Information".

License Expire : Temporary license of MCCS is 90 days. It is required to issue new temporary or permanent license before temporary license expires.|
If there is no license file or license expires after 15 days, MCCS works in restrict mode. Therefore, even if a failure occurs, the MCCS does not fail over.
